Today Jeremy and I went to Shamut Dam to see what was there for fish. The water was wadeable but the current was quite strong. I put on a white muddler and started down, throwing my line and searching the pools in the tailing water. Although the depth was not a problem , the current was , so I compesated with a sinking tip. This got me down to a level that produced fish. I caught 4 Browns in roughly the same area as the Rainbows earlier in the week, albeit a little further down. I believe all of the Browns were stocked this year with the exception of one. Marshall DeMott was fishing the east side of the river and caught a really nice 18" Rainbow. Great Sunny day, water 53 and breezy. No hatches to speak of. Jeremy also caught Browns and he took a picture of a huge

Rainbow Marvin caught. Nice day, nice people.
