I did not fish last night, but Bill-e did. He called me at about 9:30pm and he was still wired from an evening fast saltwater action. "You should have seen it, fish were everywhere!" So, after work today, I strapped my kyak on my car and headed to the beach. The ocean was calm and the sun was setting and the flyfishing was on fire. I paddled out to

some working birds and it was like flyfishing Nirvana when I reached them. Striped Bass, of all sizes, were busting all around me. Birds were screaming, bait was popping out of the water and stripers were crashing all around me. I was actually so intrigued by the action I did not even fish for a while. I just watched as natures "Survival Of The Fittest" unfolded before me. It was a frenzy like you read about. So, I finally decided to cast my fly. It hit the water, WHAM! I had a 30" fish on my line. He towed me all around the harbor in my kyak. I brought him in, threw out another cast, WHAM! Fish on! Then I got tired of catching them in the kyak, so I got out, tied the kyak off to my waiste and waded on the sandbar. The bait was peeling off the sandbar as the tide starting rolling out with more momentum. The Striped Bass just congregated on the sandbar and I was able to actually sight fish. The water was crystal clear and I could see the fish cruizing the shorelines. What a blast. The sun started to set and I left the fish feeding on the sandbar. Fun stuff!

You are a lucky guy. Fishing for trout right next door and then hop to the salt for sightfishing stripers.

I canīt wait untill my fall vacation. Maybe I get another shot at sightfishing for the beach Snook. 99 percent of the Snook I encounter either spook or ignore the fly. But the 1 percent that actually nails the fly makes my day
