Fresh Water Atlantic Salmon On The York River: Jumping Salmon In Keg Pool

In the below picture, assuming I get it on, I am tailing Kenny's fish. This fish Ken caught on the 15th. Another great pool on the York. The Keg pool, starts with a run coming into it where we watched numerous fish juming on their way upstream, actually, I have no Idea where they were going or why but they certainly were jumping. The Sun was bright and the weather warm, about 80 degrees. This was a fresh fish with amazing stamina for it's size. It, the fish, ran to the end of the pool twice, on the second run he made it to the fast cold run you see

me standing in.
