Shawmut Strikes Again: October Swimming And Pumpkin Fish
Posted by joey (4776 reads)
I headed to shawmut this morning excited for some trout action. I arrived got rigged up and walked down to the river bank. Perfect, no one there slightly overcast w/ heavy rain the night before fishing is going to be great. The water was high and chilly from the rain over the past couple days. I tried my favorite spot and didn't seem to have any luck so I headed up river and tried some rapid water. Being cautious while walking the river due to slippery bottom and deep holes that seemed to arrive. I made it to my destination and tried wading further out in the water realizing that I couldn't go much further I turned around and fished fromm closer to shore. Having no luck whatsoever I decided I need to get out further and thats when it happened - Slip and splash. Thats right, Jeremy, I also thought it was a nice day for a swim. Needless to say L left after that and got skunked as well. I guess my perfect day turned out a lot less than satisfying. Oh well like they
say a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. I thought I would share this pumpkin I carved with all of you on fliesandfins and wish you all a happy halloween- Stay dry!

Re: Shawmut Strikes Again: October Swimming And Pumpkin Fish by jeremy http://www.fliesandfins.com | well here is some good news - BOTH spots that we have been waiting for to heat up are on fire now. I was at one of them today and hooked up all day. I tried to call you to tell you to come down - no answer - then i read your email and realized that your phone took a swim with you.
