Fresh Water Tierra Del Fuego: A Treking And Fly Fishing Adventure

note: Alex has been on an Argentina fly fishing adventure. He sent some photos and a link to a local newspaper article that did a feature on him and his friend Ray. We had to translate it from spanish to english - so it's a little broken up, but not too bad. Here is a link to the Spanish article.

Two Americans have been crossing the rivers of the province doing what they love, fly fishing for trout. They remain fascinated by the scenery and the warmth of the Argentinians. They were astonished that the rivers and lakes are not of free transit for the fly fishermen. I laugh Big - The Americans Alexander Davis and Raymond Stole are crossing the island and pursuing their biggest hobbie, the fishing with a fly. They have gone for the rivers of the north zone of the province looking for their valued gem, the Trout. Alexander or Alex, since they call him this descendant of Welshmen, is taken root in Buenos Aires for two years. There he has an Argentine fianc้e descendant of Italy. His partner in route, Raymond, also is a descendant of Italy and both were born and grew up in the North American state of Connecticut, in New England. Alex, the most optomistic of the two, said that it is the first time that they are in Tierra del Fuego, though he

had already walked in three times through Patagonia. “The truth is that this place is impressive. We come here to go fly fishing and extract many trouts, it is very pretty here, it is another place, really ”, he said with his acceptable Spanish. The fly fishing traveler added that they crossed the places where one allowed them to enter free of charge, “ because it is too expensive to pay; for example, we were allowed to fly fish next to and above the bridge, but beyond that they did not allow us to continue ”. For today they had thought to divide towards the capital Fueguina, because “ we want to go fishing next to Ushuaia, but I do not know yet, because still we are looking for a place to fly fish”. His love of the fly fishing comes for time. “ With my friend Raymond Rapino, we have walked and caught great fish ”. Also he reported that in his native state they do much fly fishing, “ also in Montana and Oregon, which are also very beautiful places ”. Alex made sure that Tierra del Fuego is different even in the trouts. When asked what did they like mostof the province, the North Americans say that it is a very difficult question, “ because Argentina in general has many beautiful places, Big Rio especially, both for the architecture and for its people, who have treated us very well ”. He added that the Argentinians we are happy and singers. Alex and his partner Raymond had a special gratitude for Frames and Nella, of Anglers Aventuras, “ because they have treated us spectacularly well ”, emphasized the first one. Alex is characterized for being very happy and a joker, feels proud of his ancestry; on the other hand, his partner is more laconic and he does not speak Spanish.
