Marshall and I were on the maiden voyage of my new Cobia bay boat. The night started out nice but a stiff north wind made fishing and boat positioning challenging. I talked the old guide into using a floating line with micro minnow. A few cast and boom the old guide is hooked up…but he had 20lb test leader snap…A short cruise up the bay to another set of dock lights and some leader adjustment rewarded Marshall his first dock light Snook. This type of fishing is different from day fishing, much smaller flies and long leaders.. I think our Old Maine guile Marshall learned a little trick. We had a good time and many fish were seen but only a

few were tricked. Until next time see ya on the bay Joe-m. PS.. Old is used as a term of experience not disrespect!!

Hey JoeM, thanks for the cook's tour of the inner Bay at night. That boat of yours is sweet. Have you rigged up the trolling moter to the bow?

Keep in touch.

It's hard to top linesiders under the lights.

What pound test shock tippet do you recommend? I went with 20 on my last snook trip in Florida and lost a nice fish b/c of chafe.
