Fresh Water Brown Trout: They Are My Motivation

I have been traveling to upstate New York during the fall seasoon for 6 years now. I make the 2000 mile flight every year not for the more esteemed steelhead, or the larger king salmon, but the bulldogging brown trout of the lake Ontario region. It is true that the steelhead are more aggressive and the salmon are a longer battle. It's just that I am in love with the colors of a Brown trout in the fall with their massive kypes and amazing girths. Brown trout have always had the mystique of an effecient predator that when reaching enough size subsist on baitfish alone. This isn't to say that I would

break off a steelhead when hooked. It is just that browns are my motivation.
