hello everyone am holidaying in rotonda in july, am interested in having a go at saltwater flyfishing. any info on local areas ,methods and tackle shops gratefully received

....any info on what i might catch and best methods , flies etc gratefully received

well thats down near me, and close to boca grande. Bring a tarpon rod as there might be a few big ones left around, and possibly accessable from the beach. what dates u coming down?

hopefully about the 15 jul. staying in a villa on the rotonda river. would a7/8# be ok

a 7/8 should be ok, but I definately prefer a 9wt. as far as flies go, its kind of hard to tell this early in the game, but light colored flies will imitate the white bait that will most likely be around. I like the puglisi flies, yellow and white, and pinfish (striped).
