Went fishing in Germany last saturday and came to the conclusion that my eyesight needs improvement.

My sunglasses with brown lenses are fine in the open field when the sun shines but when fishing under a canopy of trees with an overcast sky it just gets too dark.
Would a yellow lens color improve sight ?
I am thinking of subscription glasses since I have difficulty seeing objects afar.

Any tips on lens colors and manufacturers ?

BTW I did catch some fish but the trout eluded me, my buddy however
spotted more fish than me and consequently hooked three nice brown trout.
I had one epic moment when I saw a fish rise frequently behind a deadfall.
After positioning myself properly I made a cast in the right spot and the fish went straight for the dry fly.
I set the hook and the fish went airborne, and relieved itself of the fly....
Trout nr. 2 followed my streamer twice but refused to take it, it was very nervewracking to see that fish move after the fly.
On the third cast I finally hooked a fish, not the trout but a little yellow perch that was faster or closer by.
My buddy was standing 20 ft upstream from me then hooked the trout, my trout Evil or Very Mad
Oh well, I will be back.

interestingly enough there is a person who can absolutely answer your question --- jason-c --- is in the sunglass business ... he does not sell to individuals -- so don't worry - he isn't going to try to sell you anything ... but he would be able to answer your questions .... he is in mexico right now fly fishing for rooster fish -- but i think he is due back any day -when he sees this =- i am sure he can point you in the right direction.

Action Optics (a division of Smith sport) makes excellent sunglasses for fly fishing. They have a prescription lens program and offer varous styles and lens color. There are lots of different circumstances for different colors but my favorite is Copper. They offer a color called clearwater copper that is photochromic (which means it changes colors in different brightness settings.) If you are looking for a low light lens, then yellow is a good choice (or for cloudy days)

Thanks, I was considering Orvis and Action optics.

With Orvis I got stuck in their ordering process which it seems can not be
processed online even though it is stated on their website.
Maybe it is because I am a non-English speaker and do not understand their website properly.
I just could not get an ordernumber from their customer service which normally can fix any issues I might have with them.

So Action Optics will be most likely my choice and then glasses for a low light situation like the yellow one's.
