The doldrums of summer are bearing down pretty hard here in the northeast. With the recent heat wave it is tough to find water with fishable temperatures. During these times I find that my mind starts to wander back to the mighty steelhead. It's right around the corner, can't wait.

| One thing to look for is spawning salmon. Browns and Steelhead will take up positions downstream from the salmon and gobble up all the salmon eggs they can. I was able to use that to my advantage last fall. (Thanks to Waterwhippa Kranefly and Jeremy for showing me the way) |
