Was out 8/25. saw 8-10 kings moving up through Douglaston. Hooked none. Water is low and warm, 72 degrees and 185 but seemed more like 100. Was talking to some of the douglaston keepers and they thought the kings would nose up to the first flow and turn around. That seemed to be what I witnessed below the meadow as well. We caught many smallies, small trout and fallfish on swung streamers which kept us interested in those small tap-taps wondering how hard they would pull indicating something more.
