So, maybe you are saying ... "What's The Big Deal ... why do i want to go to this block island thing and fish for Albies?" ... If you are new to Albies and unfamiliar with what they are and why the big buzz ... these videos might give you a feel for what to expect ...

Albie From Foot - Pete-D - Rhode Island

Albie From Foot - Jeremy - Block Island - (The Albies were in so good .. I had a hard time getting to the Beaches cuz they were busting at the Ferry dock ... and, probably not the smartest place to fish for them .. because chances are they are gonna take you into the pilings .. but I just couldn't resiste throwing my fly into them ... when I got off the ferry and THERE THEY WERE!)

Albies From Boat - Headrush/Mark/Marcel - Florida

And .... stay tuned .. I am putting together a new fishtale and video from last weekend on block island .. Chris from BI fishworks took me out in his boat and helped me find the BONITO on the island and I caught one from foot .... (which are in the Tuna family too - they just look a little different .. but they RIP TOO) .....

so - if you like steelhead, bonefishing, tarpon and other fish that really tear off line ... you are gonna LOVE hooking an albie or bonito .. especially from foot (shallow water) ... let me tell ya ... hooking anything in the tuna family in a 2 or 3 feet of water is an experience that is not easy to forget ... they are all muscle . travel at lightning speed .. and when they feel the hook ... they are NOT happy about it .. and they go OUT .... way OUT .... some of the funnest stuff you can do on a fly rod for sure ...
