How many of you use chest packs and what kind? I have been using a vest but am on the verge of getting a chest pack, think about a William Josephs coastal 2.

What are the advantages/disadvantages when comparing a pack to a vest?

Kodiak--

I have a fish pond shooting star chest/back pack system and I really like it. Much more simple than a vest. I have also found that its is easier on my shoulders. The back pack has a lot of storage and a camel back for h20. It is nice for long treks on the river, i wear the backpack fill it with snacks and water and just take it off when I get to a spot. I really like it. I have see the william joseph and they look nice as well. If you get one let us know how you like it.

Kodiak,

I have the William Joseph Coastal pack. WHile I do like it alot it is limited in terms of fly box storage. I can carry about 4 boxes at at time and streamer boxes are tough to get in. I got around this by rearragnging my fly boxes. On certain waters I will carry another box in my waders or rain jacket. I like the hydration system and how it fits on my body as it is comfortable to wear even on a long day with water and food.
