Greetings all!
I'm new to this site, but am enjoying all that I've read so far. I have two questions and would appreciate all comments (good & bad) and/or observations.
1. Am considering building a Thomas & Thomas 9' 3wt rod. I mainly fish sierra streams for trout. Your thoughts?
2. I am driving from Sacramento to Bend, OR. in two weeks and plan to fish the upper sac on the way. Since I have 3 days, I was also thinking about the Deschutes or the Williamson ( is that the right river?). Does anyone have any tips that I can put to good use? Thanks in advance!

This spot (see pics) near Dunsmuir is always worth a stop and short hike even if your not fishing. PM me for detailed directions if you need them.

The Lower Sac and Trinity are likey fishing good this time of year as well.

NIce pics! I fished the upper sac back in sept, however not that spot. I was thinking of going in at Dog Creek as I've heard the larger fish can be taken farther downstream, however I'm noy all that particular about the size. They're all good. I've also changed my plan about the Deschutes and have decided to try the Klamath for some steelhead since I just got a new Sage VT2 7wt from my boss. Gotta love him!
