Found a sick deal on an orvis superfine 150th ann. model. Four piece, four wght, 7ft. One of those deals I "couldn't pass up". Oh well, I really didn't want to fix my garage door opener anyway. There's always next paycheck.

I think the superfine is really not suited for a garage opener so I guess you wil have to park your car outside for the moment.
At least you will be faster on your fishing grounds now.

What model of rod have you bought exactly ? A trout bum ?

This is the older model. The series right before Orvis changed the construction. I threw the new one versus the old ones and liked it better. A little softer which is nice for those tiny wild streams I've been fishing lately. I'm not sure what the name of the specific model is outside of superfine. It is not the "flea" I do know that. It has about 6 inches more and is a 4 wght. I wanted something in the 7ft or below range and wght didn't matter. It is hard to get in and out of those tiny creeks with an 8 and a half foot rod. I want to use it this weekend but am waiting to find out if a sister in law on my wife's side as well as my brother's wife have their babies. Sure hope they can wait until next week so I can get to the water on Saturday and give the rod a whirl.

I bought one of the older models when they where on sale before introduction of the new superfine series.
The old models still had those unsanded blanks.

I purchased 2-piece 7-11 rod because on a previous trip I had fished
with such a model belonging to a friend.
I found it such a fine rod that I immediately wanted one.
