Fished the Roanoke yesterday. Caught close to 50 fish in the afternoon. Fish should be around for another week or so. The spawn is on! All fish caught using 8, 9 wt rods and 350 grain sinking lines. Chartruese over White with gold flash Clousers and Chartruese over Yellow with gold and silver flash. Turned on like switch and off just the same.

First Fish..Large Mouth Bass. You know he hates when the stripers come to town.

Natural Fly with nice bass.

Fat Tire with bass.

Nice double. Two 5lb fish. The two rednecks who caught these were making quite a scene. Warning: Local guides were not happy during the taking of this picture.

This fish ended up with both flies in its mouth. mmmmm
It hit my fly first!

All in all a great day. I am sore from throwing a 350 grain line all day, and have a case of striper thumb. Could not be happier.
