Fishing has been tough for me lately.
Visits to Gordon pass, Doctors pass and Lovers Key delivered few fish on the fly.
A plan B to visit some freshwater ponds in the hope to catch some of the exotics
or a stray Snook or baby Tarpon remained fruitless.
My time down here is slowly running out so I hope I will get some decent fishing in
the few days I have left.
At Lovers Key I encountered one other flyfisherman who came from Chicago.
I would like to thank him for the gurglers he give me since I managed to catch a few fish
with them lwhile fishing past sunset at Gordon pass.
Since the moon was out I decided to give the gurglers a try in the night and to my suprise I landed
a big ladyfish and had some interesting strikes on that fly.
A few pictures made during recent days:
Leatherjacket
Beachhouse
Ladyfish on pink/white clouser
Sunset
Egret
Snapper, Lovers Key
Cormorants
Spanish mackerel, Lovers Key
Lovers Key
Grouper, Doctos Pass
Dolphin, Doctors pass
Spanish mackerel
Yesterday evening at Gordon pass, first cast yielded a small Spanish mackerel
Fishing a gurgler in the moonlight provoked an attack by a larger Ladyfish. |

| Marcel, I always enjoy your posts whether you catch the big ones or not. Top notch photos and journal work. |
