Cloudveil has received some good press lately and I am looking at their 8x wading jacket. Curious if anyone out there has any feedback in regard to the performance, durability and features of this wading jacket. Thanks

whip, I can't say much about the 8x jacket but I have a couple of their jackets (rain coat & head wall winter coat) and think they are great. Good comfort and flexibility. I am a big fan of all their gear, just wish it was a bit more affordable.

I can't comment about their wading jacket, but the cloudveil jacket I just bought for this trip we are on to LA, blew its zipper on the 2nd day I had it. Otherwise, I love the jacket!

I was tired of looking at $300-$400 jackets and thinking I was going to have to sacrifice quality to get something I could afford. Then I came across a small manufacturer called Drift Creek Outdoors from out in Oregon. I bought their Extreme Guide jacket #2301 and I think it's as good if not better than the big brands and their big prices. I paid $150 for my jacket and it works perfect! Great fit, awesome adjustments, NO LEAKS, and guaranteed not to leak. I bought it at www.dryangler.com. I would check it out before buying anywhere else.
