| Anybody looking to get on some stripers can. The mouth of the Housatonic river is producing fish. I went this past weekend got into some schoollies. I was hearing of bigger fish getting caught in the mix too so there are some chances to get something nicer. |

| I live on long island( glen Cove) and have been on some good schoolie action. Few days ago got 27" on a bobs banger so its starting to get hot around here, bunker and shad starting to arrive. |

I'm just north of Boston and just got my first striper yesterday and my brother took two from the same spot a short while later, we were a bit surprised to see some bigger fish already here. He caught two in the 23-24" range which isn't bad early season.

The early-ish schoolie stripers are continuing to impress, got two last night on the incoming tide, and both were in the 17"-22" range. Is this due to the fact that I was fishing a larger clouser or, as I suspect, is it just evidence of a healthy fishery?
