I am headed to Costa Rica next month. I'll be on the mid Pacific coast. On the Nicoya Penninsula to be exact. I am hoping to do some surf fishing for roosters and jacks. I've got a 10wt with a tropical floating line, some big eye bait fish, sardina, and poppers. I'm looking for some advice or possible inshore guide recommendations. I'd like to keep it DIY as much as possible though. Thanks in advance.

Long casts are the key. I would start practicing now. Even if you are an excellent caster it takes a while to get that tuned up in the wind. I would not sweat the fly too much.
