Just found out I have an opportunity to fish around Breckenridge. I'll be there late March. Unfortunately, I am not accustomed to any rivers/streams in this area. Any advice will go a long way!

The blue river runs through breck into dillion res. Bellow dilling res (in silverthorne) there are some big bows an browns. Bring some egg patterns and mysis shrimp if you hit that. The water is super clear so light tippet is mandatory and the fish can be spooky. If you head south from breck about an 1.5 hour you can fish the dream stream which is more of the same type of fishing. A tailwater with big fish on tiny bugs. Midges, tricos, small stones should do the trick. There are a number of fly shops in the area that can give you up to date fishing conditions, but march and april in my opinion are great times to fish out here. If you head west towards Vail (about 30min) there are a few rivers like The Eagle & Gore Creek. The further west you head towards glenwood you have the Roaring Fork & The Colorado. If you have a bunch of time the Frying Pan the Yampa and the Taylor are all within a 2 to 3 hour drive. All really good fishing.
