Sine I’m have the opportunity to go bone fishing in the Bahamas soon and always tend to use the same flies, I was wondering what kind of flies you guys use…
So what is your favorite bonefish fly? |

| Overall, if I had 1 bonefish fly, it would be the gotcha, but the Borski's patterns (swimming shrimp, critter, ect) would be a close second. But they are a PITA to tie! |

For fishing parts of the Bahamas that don't get a lot of pressure, I like
- Big flies, like #2
- Bead chain eyes in water up to 18" deep
- Small lead eyes in water deeper than 18"
- Long rubberlegs or hackle tips
- A dark pattern for dark bottoms and a light pattern for light bottoms
- And not much more science beyond that!

Thats a nice Gotcha. That is one of my go to patterns. I've even had big carp eat it. |
