Hi,
I am new to the forum and just wanted to pick whoever's mind i could about winter fishing the kenai river for big rainbows and dollies. Does anybody have any tips?
Thanks,
Riley
First off the best way to find good spots is too do some exploring by yourself or with someone who knows the river. The people who fish the river that time of year including myself are pretty tight lipped about it since pressure is light by kenai standards.
As far as technique goes a full floater with a long leader is all you need. The river is much lower and clearer that time of year so light tippet is key as is long cast and stealthiness. Try basic leaches and sculpins
