The Fly Fishing Book ... by Fliesandfins.com" is continuing to evolve and grow and we are excited to announce the next two chapters. As we have said this is an effort by guys who are passionate and knowledgeable about the chapter that they wrote, but it isn't necessarily meant to be an instructional guide. It is meant to offer a perspective by the writer about something related to fly fishing that the author has a personal connection to, ideas about, knowledge to share etc. The two chapters next up in the lineup are written by members of the crew that bring exactly these things to the table.
Chapter 5 is “Alaska: The Last Frontier” .. by Brandon Jensen who lives full time in Kodiak Alaska. Brandon has guided & fished many of Alaska's premier destination and is a well versed steelhead, salmon and trout angler. Living full time in Alaska offers a perspective that is not from another guy who travels there to guide a few months in the summer. It is a perspective from a guy who is a full time resident that even fishes Alaska in the winter. How many people have you heard tell you stories about their winter fishing in Alaska? None? that is what i thought. As you can imagine, this chapter from the point of view will be one we are really looking forward to sharing with you!
Chapter 6 is “Saltwater Fly Fishing: Shallow Water” by Dave Tepper from Florida. Dave is a full time Florida resident, accomplished saltwater fly angler, and of course a kick a** filmaker with World Angling, who is absolutely obsessed with shallow saltwater fly fishing. He is not a Florida guide, he is simply a passionate, knowledgeable, excellent saltwater fly angler. His perspective offers the angle from experiences that are drawn from having the rod in his hand chasing Bonefish, Tarpon & of course Permit. This chapter is another one we are extremely psyched about and can't wait to read!
So sit back, pull up a chair and your favorite beverage and enjoy more of The Fly Fishing Book from Flies And Fins.
