Hi Brian,
How was Nicaragua coast ? caught any nice fish despite the bad weather at the end ?
Don't know about Belize in October/November but a friend had been there in February, he was happy about his trip as he hooked and land a nice permit.
When he came here last year, he hooked one but the permit was lost on his way back through the reef.
For Guadeloupe, I thought it would have been a nice trip too if you come with your girlfriend as the island got the romantic french touch with for example the "cuisine à la française" and good wines. There is plenty of activities to enjoy beside of fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, water falls, horse riding on the beach, kite-surf, windsurf, jet ski, shopping, sun tanning of course, beaches.... As beiing fully a part of France same rules apply on medical care. It is a safe place to travel for family.
St François town might be the place you would want to drop your luggages as it is not far from the fishing ground and there is lot of restaurant around the marina.
About the fishing, if you come in November, it would be nice to focus on the wading side for bones and permit while October still allow to fish for late tarpons and good size babies and bones. By the way, in Guadeloupe we fish for permit only wading.
The weather is pretty fine, lots of rain at night and the wind is more often lower than the rest of the year. It is still the cyclonic season wich is going to his end meanwhile august seems to be the month that had most chances to be hit by a hurricane.
Hope this find you well.
If you want my friend email for more info on his Belize trip, pm me. |
