|
|
| Over the past years, I have become extremely fond of fishing moving water. Although I enjoy fishing lakes, I cannot get away from the streams and rivers. So, if you had to fish any moving body of water for the rest of your life, regardless of size, hatch, or location, where would it be? Mine, either Flint Creek, Montana or Crystal River, Colorado. The scenery, healthiness of fish, and lack of people are the leading reasons. |

Mine would have to be the South Fork of the Boise River, to me it's home, a river I know and the scenery is breath taking, growing up and fishing in a certain stretch of the river will always be in my inner thoughts, till I can find a stream or a river that can make me feel like the way it did to me. like a kid again |

| South Platte River in Colorado. It gets quite a bit of pressure, but the fishing can be incredible. In fact, it made me pack up all of my belongings in the back of my truck and move out west from Michigan. No Regrets! |

| For me it's the Blackfoot in Montana. Yeah, there's a lot of traffic in the summer (esp the Rec Corridor) but there are better times especially at night or in the fall. I've fished it in October and there isn't a soul most of the day--only the hardcore fisherman. I caught my first Westslope Cut (almost 20 inches) there. Besides, having the occasional elk come crashing through timber is a welcome, excitable relief. |

| Oh yeah. The blackfoot and the south platte are truly amazing. I fished the Platte this past summer and it was nothing short of amazing. Have not gotten to the blackfoot yet but is on my list. Thinking of going to the University of Montana simply to fish those waters. Haha. Gonna be up in the south fork area of the Boise as well. Seen pictures and heard stories. Sounds fantastic. Great responses. |

The Naknek river in bristol bay. It's a very big river with tons of area to explore and lots of room so crowding is not a big deal. Great fly fishing for all 5 species of Salmon, Grayling and char. The biggest reason however being the trout bum i am is the rainbows. average fish is 18 inches and up to 36 inches and 20pounds and the hardest fighting trout i've ever encountered. Nothing like a 30 inch naknek bow peeling the backing of your reel while doing cartweels uptop |

Missoula's a great place (my wife is from there) just because of the access you have to areas around there. There's Rock Creek, the Clark Fork of the Columbia rumbling right through town, there's the Bitterroot along with all the feeder streams flowing out of the Bitteroot range, and of course there's the Bob. As far as I'm concerned this is trout heaven! |

| Mine would be the North Platte in Wyoming. Anywhere from the upper section near Saratoga all the way through The Mile, Fremont Canyon, Gray Reef and on into Casper. |

| I would have to say the Kennebec river in Maine because of the variey of fishing. whether it Landlocked Salmon, Brook Trout, Brown trout, rainbow Trout ,smallmouth bass, Shad or stripers, they are all there in one stretch or another. If you include all the tribs to the system you could never fish it in a lifetime. I have spent some time in Alaska and enjoyed it immense;y, and have yet to fish any of the famous western rivers. ( on my list for some day ) |
