im looking @ hewes redfisher 18 or 21, maybe a mavrick same feet, i was allso looking into a gheenoe but my dad told me he would help me buy a biger flats boat inorder to go out with him and the bros .

my dad wants a bran new boat but those boats im looking @ have a nice hefty price. i dont know if you guys have any suggestions... i live in florida and have 2 older bros and my dad want to fit the 4 of us if one day they all wana go out .

Those are great boats. I like Dolphin and Hells Bay too. Action Craft is nice and a little cheaper.

I own an action craft 1720 fly fisher, Have owned Maverick hpx and hewes bonefisher I would really look at beavertail great value.

hey cfly thanks , i looked into beavertail they are rilly nice. but i dont think they have the comfert of somthing like a hews redfisher18' or 21

The 18 Hewes is a boat that still poles well the 21 is a big boat, unless your doing trolling motors I would say he 21 is more like a bayboat-comfy
yes unless your the guy on the poling platform, Beavertails ride like a hellsbay- I think they are built off there molds have you looked the Action craft 18

well thanks alot. im going to look into that ,most likely ill be poling so i think im going to go more with what you tell me Beavertail, or the 18, or an action craft. i been looking for like 4months what boat fits me best... i looked into gheenoes, flats boats, kayaks .i want them all !! lol but i rather a nice flats boat Laughing

I've owned 6 different flats boat over the last 18 years, I've jsut really like the 1720 action craft it's wider then the 18 runs skiiny with a jack plate a must!!!! poles pretty good but also handles chop well.

You should look into an ECC Lostmen 18 - plenty of storage, stable and shallow draft. They build a great boat for a fair price - I own one. You can check them out at eastcapecanoes.com
