Does anyone know if the water levels have dropped yet on Tamiami Trail? I live 4 hours away and I am still trying to dial in when the water levels drop. Thanks for any info.

Hi Chickenfeathers,

I sent you a PM.

I'm planning a trip out there from Naples this week.

Oct. 21...We started at sea grape on the trail around 8 AM....a little late for the best Tarpon bite, but we hooked up a jumper of about 20 lb. at the second spot we tried...used small wool EP-style blennies #4

The water was right to the top of the banks and there was water gushing accross the road and under the seagrape bridge making a good current. I can't say for certain whether it was all fresh or salty because my buddy from POI, guide, bill baldus saiys there's been some big tides there lately. We moved on to a weir and Marcel landed a small Snook and later a 25-incher on a chart Couser.

OK there's a report...now, go gettum!
