yes your right a flounder. And to catch one on a fly is not really diffucult i would belive. i have caught some on a fly when i was fly fishing for some blues and stripers on L.I. coastline. i guess you could take a couple of clousers in yellow and chartruse, a couple of surf candies and any thing that would imitiate bay anchovies,spearing or sand eels |

| I've caught them on buck tail jigs before so a fly is definitely feasible. Usually around here you fish for them by dragging a lure or bait across the bottom around structure. Guess you could do that with a fly! |
