| I'm looking to start making a line of unique wooded fly boxes and I'm having a hard time finding large sheets of foam that I can cut to various sizes for inserts. Doe's any one know where you can purchase the plain white foam typically found in a standard boxes? I have looked at various other types of commercial foams but none that are ideal for the continuous adding and removing of hooks. Any ideas would be of great help! |

| While the inserts you mention are nice, they cost too much to use in a large production. A medium sized insert is about 16$ and would raise the cost of the individual fly box I am making to a price higher when what the average angler would be willing spend. I appreciate your response but I really need large sheets of white fly box foam to remain cost effective. Thanks for the idea though! |

| Don't know which country you are located in, but in the U.S. you can find decent felt in any craft or hobby store. In Europe they should have the same. It won't be as nice as the felt specifically made for fly boxes but decent enough. I have made some boxes out of half finished wooden boxes for sale here at craft stores. Bought the felt at the same stores. I guess it all depends on your country's retailer what they sell. |
