|
|
| Just acquired a used Ari Hart designed Halo reel. I can't figure out how to change this from a RH to a LH retrieve. Took it to my local expert and he couldn't figure it out either. I can't find any technical info on the internet, in fact the Halo site is inoperable. I really don't want to force anything, but sure could use some help on this. Does anyone have some tech info on this reel? |

Allthough I own a few of his reels and the guy lives practically
around the block so to say I do not follow his businessventures
that closely.
Having said that I think his current reels are again build in the
Netherlands while there where also some build in Canada.
Below an adress that might help you further, btw they are also on facebook.

Thanks for your help! I contacted Exclusive Reels and they couldn't have been more helpful. It seems this reel is a prototype of a reel that was never produced. There were only 10 of them ever built and they have 4 of them that are not for sale. In fact he questioned that I had what I said I did and I had to send him pictures, which he confirmed. The potential value of this reel with the Ari Hart signature is beyond what I would feel comfortable fishing with, so I think it will be boxed up and put in the closet for a while! All I was looking for was a cheap reel to put my full sinking line (which I rarely use) on. So I guess, thanks to your help, this story has a happy ending. Except I still need a reel!
Thanks again. |

Off course I did a search on the Halo reel and also red something about that it was a prototype.
The reels of mr. Hart are very sought after collectables so you'd better put that halo reel into a safe
As for a reel for fishing, just get one of those Orvis mid- or large arbors.
They are not so expensive and perform well. |
