hi there. I want to ask you guys, what do you think about the mirage reel, i will use it in salt water, i see that in your blue fin tuna video, one of you used the the large arbor battenkill, i own one,, the number IV but it doesnt have enogh drag to handle tarpon and permit, so that is what i am looking really for. i am interested in the mirage V,, but still deciding between dacron and gelspun,, i will be using it for tarpon about 30 lbs (or 40 you never know) , bonito, tuna, bonefish, permit, etc. good deal for only 450$. if you dont have any experience with it what do you think about a nautilus ccf 10 wt.,,,, any of your opinions will be aprecciated, thanks guys
I fished a mirage reel last season for albies, sharks, bonito and steelhead. The reel held up great. No problems - a solid piece of equipment at a competitive price. As far as backing, I prefer the gel spun backing. Good luck. Let us know how you do!
