| Orvis has these rods on sale now and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with them. I was thinking of picking up a salt 6 for bay and backwater specks and reds and a 8wt for my wade fishing. |

| The Powermatrix was the first fly rod upgrade from the clearwater (my first fly rod ever). It has been on countless trout and salmon trips with me and withstood many of cars, canoes and boats. Has even withstood being lent to friends on more than one occasion. A solid rod for sure, and an great bargain. |

I have 2 rods that are TLS Power matrix rods and because I read this I called my Orvis dealer and the prices are amazing. I have a 3 Wt. and a 7 WT. and I use these like work horses. Casting for distance or accuracy is not a problem. They are both rods that I use often as they are affordable and a lot of rod for the money. They have power and strength when you need it and you don't have to baby these working rods.
