I usually fish backwater by wiggins pass in naples fl. I just got a boat and was wondering if there are any flats in the area or good tarpon snook or redfish spots to get to with a small boat.

If I had a boat right now in Naples beach areas, I'd get out early before sunup and hang off shore 200 yds. from any of the Passes...Clam, Dr's Gordon's....with a 12-weight...drift w/the tide and have a black and purple 3/0 Toad ready to cast. Very Happy

idk many places in naples but I know right up the beach in pc you can have you pick of flats in Pirate cove right by Punta Gorda. I live in Port Charlotte an I have never came home empty handed. Usually catch a couple monster reds, latest one was 35". Caught a nice snook in there, think it was like 29"..maybe a bit smaller? I don't remember exactly. Or use Google Maps a follow the coast line an you'll find some flats eventually.
