Species: Coho
Length: 32.5 inches

My father was able to get off work early yesterday so we bombed out the road to a popular lake on the road system. There were lots of boats there but i still managed to catch this male hog in my pontoon boat on a secret fly of mine! We only fished for 3 hours and the fish were real skittish so i wasn't too dissapointed that we only caught 1.

another great fish! tell me about the fight. did he pull you around in the pontoon boat or what? i am curious to know how you fish for them in the pontoon boat? are you dead drifting flies - stripping streamers? thanks.

Well given that i am a very big guy and my boat is 65 pounds and i was anchored up the fish had no chance to pull me around! He still fought really hard though, he made two runs into my backing and cleared the water twice.
As for how i fish silvers in stillwater jeremy it's all about stripping streamers and other flies. I basically cast out let the fly sink to the desired depth and strip, sometimes they like a fast strip and sometimes they want slow. The most important thing to do and one a lot of people don't is to watch the line by your rod while your fly sinks because half of the silver i catch are on the sink and you won't feel them you will only see your line twitch.
