hi there , two years ago i geared myself with a spey rod tfo deer creek 14 fts line 9/10 and i have two lines for it . it seems that i still can't cast properly the first is sientific angler steelhead 9 , the second , a shooting head coupled to a 8 line with the head removed. the second one seems quiet heavy and it is difficult not to hit the water. At the end of the month i will be in altmar for steelheading and would love to use the two hand rod. What set up i should use intend to fish under a stike indicator . i would be gratefull for any indication. |

| Last spring I bought two Orvis Multi-tip spey lines at $150 a peice One line 9 wt. with a floater and four sink tips each ( different sink rates clearly marked...then go to there info site and they will help you use it)..Then go to you tube for spey casting videos and watch how the right hand keeps the butt grounded at the waist and practice practice....best wishes juice |

| when you get into town, head to malinda's. she'll set you up, and chances are, let you demo a line or two. |
