If you haven't checked out the Albright website, you should. They have some great deals on rods/reels. I just got a travel 4 pc 8wt XX series that's got some backbone and is fast. I am thinking it would be a great time to get an 11-12 wt travel series.

Haha yes jeremy that is the rod that i had snapped on the albies this past season. i would certainly say that that was my mistake of course because i had been rough on that rod since i bought it.....and it had lasted me for years. It was also an eight weight with the kind of flex that wasn't so hot for saltwater albie fishing....as i found out the hard way. i remember steelhead fishing with boz and you and slipping on some mud while walking down the trail, which ended up with me landing directly on the rod! boz was like "dude! it's not broken????" it was actually erie how long it lasted under such abuse....
i know a ton of people that love the albright rods....expecially the new saltwater models.....
