I purchased a wading jacket, #2301 Extreme Guide Jacket from Drift Creek Outdoors last fall and it is the best fishing jacket I've ever owned. It is completely waterproof and breathable, has every option that a Simms or Patagonia might have and cost alot less. I bought it at www.dryangler.com for $150 and am so happy I did. After looking at it online I called them and asked some questions and they answered every one I had. They are really an impressive company, I'm just surprised more people haven't heard of them.I would recommend this company to anyone!.

I have been using a patagonia wade deep jacket for the last 2 seasons and I would recomend it. It's light enough to wear with a T shirt in the summer when the wind is blowing and warm enough to wear while fishing during the winter when wearing a good base layer. The jacket is small enough to put into my chest pack incase the weather takes a turn for the worst. The only complaint I have about my particlur jacket (the older model) is that it has velcro flaps instead of side zippers like the new version, I think it's easier to just upzip the pocket from the side to grab a box. As far as price goes I think that patagonia is somewhat expensive but the best part about going with their products is that they are gauranteed for life, and I've used this policy a number of times when a zipper or snap blew out on one of the fleece jacket that I've owned for 5 years with no questions asked. good luck on your search.
