Well today was quite interesting in a way, got to the Frank Saale early enough, didn't have to try to escape work with some kind of an excuse, and manage to drop my fly in the water at around 1745hr, I can see fishes jumping all around me and I knew, well expected it anyway, to be a very good day indeed.
After a few cast, hmmmm... over twenty, no hits, as I calmly talk to these fishes in my head .." Bite..! Bite..!.." still no hit, hmmm..the weather was nice and cool, so at least that was going right.
Move to a different location, trip 2 times over a hole in the ground, but manage to find a nice secluded spot, looked like a very good location, but too many vegetation, lost 3 flies in the tree branch and lost precious minutes retying flies

gave up that location, sky started getting dark, rain started to pour, moved to a bridge to find shelter under neath it, till it calm down for a little, manage to practice my side cast, my fly caught my backpack, lost 5 minutes of casting time, rain stop pouring came out from bridge.

and my luck started to change a hit..!, pulled fish in,.. trout..! fish came off hook right in front of my eyes, didn't land it, after 30 minutes, I had hits after hits, just could set the fly fast enough, but my luck was about to change, a solid light hit and Viola..!

Well Needless to say from the picture above this fish poop on me, so my good fortunes says it all by the conduct of this Fish, started getting dark few more cast, few more hits, just couldn't set the fly, the fish was spitting it out to fast for me to realize my fly line was running ( had Lasik surgery on my eyes a few weeks ago, vision is still blury) i'm not trying to make an excuse for it, just needed to quit daydreaming, but the area near the bridge was my lucky area, numerous hits at least seen some big ones hitting the real insect and flies, just not mine.

drove home, shouldn't talk on the cell phone while driving in Germany it's against the law, no the polizei didn't pull me over, due to my yapping mouth I swallow a small fly or misquito that was in the car earlier, yes I gag..! my eyes got teary and blury and I nearly ran off the road, so that ended my second day of fisihng on the Frank Saale, was it worth it, Yes most definately.!
