I use a kyak here in maine all the time - mostly in saltwater. for me, it has been the best all around versatile device when i need a source of water transportation. i can cover lot's of water. beach it easily. transport it easily and it won't pop - so for me it makes sense.

A friend emailed me this link - NOW THIS makes even more sense to me! Put it in upstream drift down and cruise back up! - throw it on the flats and chase stripers blue fish around - beach it on the sandbars or river side easily if you don't want to fish out of it - it will do just fine in 6" of water and I can strap it to my car.

I think I am sold....

What are your thoughts????

Looks pretty cool, some buds of mine do a lot of kayaking around cape cod for stripers and blues, they're gonna go nuts for this. I just wonder how the power unit will hold up in the salt

Those look pretty cool but all i need around here is a pontoon boat and a kyak. They probably woul not fit me or my dad anyway, both of us are over 6'7".

i've never used a kayak but my canoe is great for fly fishing on lakes. I use outriggers on it for awesome stability.
