Quite some time ago I ordered some stuff at an online shop I had
never done business with.
The shop was called Wilderness Angler in Washington state and the person I dealt with was Blake Merwin.
The bad thing was that the stuff I paid for never arrived.
Paid by creditcard I should have acted within 30 days to get my money back but shipping time from the US to Europe can take longer than that on occasions.
Off course I tried to contact the shop in question but they do not reply to my e-mails. I coaxed one of my US relatives to call them but they will not pick up the phone.
I noticed now that the website has gone offline and a new site from the same owner has popped up under the name Gig-harbor flyshop.
I would like to hear if anybody knows this shop and maybe give some good tips how I can resolve this issue.
That sucks, big time. You ordered the product, your credit card was charged and never got the product or your money back? I did a google search (as I am sure you did too) and I found gigharborflyshop.com and the blog
http://gigharborflyshop.blogspot.com/ .. It seems via one of the newest blog posts - that, as you said, the shop underwent a change of name and they are getting setup in a new location too. There is something you could try. I know that the site
Washington Fly Fishing is a huge site and they have a huge forum too and its a powerful presence in Washington and West Coast with lots of steelheaders etc... Perhaps try making a post over there and see if anyone can give you any insight as to what the situation is with the shop and how to proceed.
