After having spent the last weeks fishing the upper section of my stream it was time to see how things where looking at the other end.
To be able to fish the lower section of the stream we enrolled this year in yet another German fishingclub.
The river has a whole different character downstream.
It was wider, there where other fish species in it and it was tougher to fish there with the fly.
First we had to check our known hot spot from previous visits.
Some disturbance at the riverbank led us to believe that a muskrat had just slipped in the water.
When the water stayed disturbed it was time to have a look at the scene, to my surprise a 2ft. chub shot into the depths.
The big chub carefully avoided us.
I only got the small ones on the mayfly, in the end I managed to catch a bigger sized specimen.
Half a day fishing yielded 6 chub for me, my buddy managed some chub with a bonus brown trout and yellow perch.
