Went fishing to our stream way downstream in the chub section.
Weather forecast was hot and sunny so ideal to get chub on the dry fly.
When we arrived at the water the skies where overcast and
it was not that warm, it figured []
We took a peek from the brigde to see if any surface activity was going on but nothing moved.
Since we made a stop at the bakery first before fishing we tossed some bread in the water and behold the pieces of bread where intercepted by fish.
Having established that fish where present we waded out in the river.
To our surprise small mayflies suddenly began to hatch and rings turned up everywhere.
We had a good time fishing the dry fly.
I used a CDC mayfly and got a few nice chubs on that fly.
The icing on the cake was a brown trout that took the mayfly, pretty unusual to see browns so far downstream.
When the sun finally broke out all action died down.
Amazing how a place can turn from fully alive to dead in such a short time.
