hey guys,
I'm wondering if you could give me a little info on the Kennebec River in northern maine. My buddy and I are going to be staying in a cabin in Caratunk, which is a few minutes from The Forks. we are planning on fishing some of the ponds such as Moxie, Mosquito and Indian for smallmouth bass, but our main goal is trout in the tailwaters and waters of the Kennebec River. I'm wondering if you guys know any good areas of where to wade and fish? I'm not looking for exact spots, just general areas as I am a rookie to this river. If you guys could give us some advise that would be sick. Thanks again.

Shane,
I have a camp on Indian Pond. Try moxie stream just below the bridge on the Harris dam rd. coming out of Moxie. Have caught nice brook trook there. Don't over look black brook stream, which you'll cross on your way to indian pond. Indian Stream is worth a look also. Hike down to moxie falls, if you feel adventurous, find where it enters the Kennebec. Don't forget your bug dope! There's also many nice small ponds in the area (fish pond) if you can find them. Hope you have a blast, I love the area, don't get there enough. Be sure to get on the East outlet coming into Indian Pond. Stop into Three Rivers for a beer or two. Say hi to Charli for me.
