Canceling my vacation to jeresy and heading back down to St. Petersburg condo for 2wks, 2nd week in June. Iv been spear fishing and gear fishing the area for the past 7 years, but never on the Fly, I remember seeing large schools of snook while snorkeling around the old gun enplacements at ft desoto. Can you shore fish this park, or are you stuck with the mob at the fishing peir. when spear fishing I was always at the Sky Way bridge shooting sheeps head, but found out that catching them on line is alot more fun, and less sharky and Im sure would be a blast on the fly. I was also thinking of fishing the old piers at bradington beach, but not sure about rules.
any input or opion's would be helpful...
