I had a lack of time for flyfishing this year, a first escape this month in Slovenia on the Soca without to many fish cause of the bad weather.
I was working for 24 hours and after I went home about 9.00 AM, I felt asleep while watching a movie and woke up 4.00 PM. I thought it would be a good day to try to catch chub on a dry fly, so I took my rod and went fishing for a few hours. The problem was that the chub was not attacking the dry fly so I thought it would be not a bad idea to change the plan and to go for some barbel on a nymph. My barbel nymphs and a Ritz D brought me 4 great fish today ( 3 barbels and a chub, and I lost a pretty big one - I think it was a barbel ). I will let you enjoy yourself with the pictures. Till to the next time.

do I understand you correctly, you caught a Barbel in Soca?
Nope, I didn't caught barbel in Soca, I was just saying that I was in a lack of time with flyfishing and had my first flyfishing this month on the Soca, so I had to recuperate what I lost ( the time I was spending with other things than flyfishing) and went fishing even it was for about 2 hours. I caught the barbels in a small affluent of the Danube in the Ingolstadt area.
