| my names tim,im brand new to flies and fin and also fly fishing.heading to the "housy" in western connecticut for the first time.just wondering if anyone had advice or tips on the "hatch" or any usefull info would be greatly appreciated.thanx guys.oh p.s......fliesandfins...you guys rock! |

No info for the Housatonic but since I am going to RI very soon I check the Orvis flyfishing website for local reports, Maybe it helps.

| It's really low. They were talking about a 90% fish kill this summer. It gets a fall stocking and a great iso hatch as well as a nice fall sulphur and bwo hatch. Check out housatonic river outfitters. That know their stuff there |

| Well cousintimmy and I hit the housy this weekend and it was amazing and yes he really is my cousin... We picked up over 70 rainbows among the three of us, my son Cal joined us, over the two day weekend. Weighted leach flys did the trick on Saturday and adams - 14 was amazing on Sunday. There were times over and over again that all three of us were on at the same time, simply an amazing weekend! |
