Hello all-
I have been fly fishing for about 4 years, was introduced to Orvis early on and have collected quite a bit of Gear. 6 Helois Rods from 3wt too 10wt.
Love the Battenkill Reels, have quite a few Mid Arbor and Large Arbors.
Bought A vortex for an Amazon Peacock trip in October and WAS NOT happy at all with the Drag .
Maybe as I get into bigger fish I need to look at other reels?
Money is not really an issue (but dont want too waste money either), I have been looking for something for a Trip to Bristol Bay in July-August on for 8wt and 10wt, will keep the mid/Large Battenkills for smaller fish on 5wt.
Have looked at ABEL and Tibor?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

For the money, the Ross CLA is tough to beat in my opinion and made in the USA which is important to me. Waterworks / Lamson has also treated me well through the years. Good luck on your search and tear them up in AK!
