I found one for $125 from a local guy. Its never been used. Are these good rods? Is it worth the money to try it out or should I save up some more money for a rod with a warranty?

buy a rod with a warranty. At some point in time you will most likely break a rod and if you cant get it replaced then it is a problem. There are some descent rods you can buy for $125 or slightly more that have warranties.
