Fly Fishing

Like i posted earlier, i was going to pulaski for some steelhead, but i wanted to do it without a guide. i never caught a steelhead on the fly before and i wanted to do it all by myself. we got to pulaski friday afternoon and fished all that afternoon with only one short hookup from my brother. the next morning we hit the river early and fished all day with nothing but a few short hookups. it snowed the entire day and that lowered moral even more. with only 2 hours before heading back down to maryland, i needed a fish. we approached a nice run in the lower fly area and i felt a lot of confidence. i knew we would get one. i had on a green sucker spawn and after a few short drifts it happened! after a nice long fight i had a nice, beautiful 23 inch chromer in my hands and i never felt more proud of myself in my entire life. even though we had a long trip home ahead of us i couldn't be more happy.

and by the way im officially addicted to STEELHEAD Very Happy

Heard a lot about that steelhead fishing and it sounds
very interesting ... and cold but I guess when you finally
catch one it does not matter anymore.
Good that you landed one before you had to leave.
